  • Translations

If you would like to obtain international patent protection for your invention, then your patent application, or at least the patent claims, will normally need translating into other languages. This must be done carefully so as not to introduce errors which could make it difficult to obtain patent protection. We can ensure that your translation […]

  • Patent Training

Patent Awareness Training for Non-specialists A business can greatly benefit if its employees understand the importance of patents. This applies equally to engineers, managers and the sales and marketing team. Some companies have surprisingly little awareness of patents – even among those responsible for IP. However, decisions based on incorrect assumptions about patents can have […]

  • Patent Prosecution

Once a patent application has been filed, and before it is granted by a patent office, it undergoes a strict examination procedure. In some cases, a patent may be granted with few amendments, but these are the exceptions. More usually, the patent examiner will raise formal or substantive objections, and patent attorneys are experienced in […]

  • Multilingual

Our patent attorneys are multilingual and work in German, English and French, according to your preference. If you require international patent protection including countries outside Europe, we recommend filing in English in order to keep costs low. If patent protection is only required in Switzerland, Germany or Austria, we would normally draft your application in German.

  • Strong Patent Protection

The strength of your patent is not proven until you try to enforce your patent rights. In many cases it is only then, after you have spent tens of thousands of CHF on the patent, that you discover how well your patent was originally drafted. We therefore take the utmost care over the definition of your invention, and we carefully devise fall-back positions in case your main patent claims are later found to be unenforceable.
